Content Creation Procrastination (CPP) strikes again!
January is the time of year we historically PLAN. But I’ll be honest, each year I feel under sooo much pressure to make decisions I can’t think straight. Some areas of what you do in your business can be so dynamic and constantly changing (read Facebook) it’s not always possible to plan out what you need to say over a 12 week period let alone 12 month.
But we do need a general approach or strategy to keep us on track. So, let’s take this a step at a time over the next 4 weeks, together, which will give you a recipe to rinse and repeat from thereafter.
I’m going to ask questions in the #CyberGranAcademy to help trigger content ideas for your Facebook Page. They will be based around the #Ruleof3 and the #SofaChallenge
There is no fee to part of the group and there won’t be any specific challenges you have to complete. I just want you to have some support with content ideas and #lightbulbmoments to help set the foundation of your social media strategy.
Also consider during this process how your social media is part of your online marketing and your whole business marketing. The different tools you choose need to dovetail and make the implementation easy not complicated.
Having an advanced directive, particularly with reference to your content creation, gives you an algorithm-proof master plan. This way, no matter what happens with the bells and whistles, you still know what to say and when to reach your goal.

Before you start implementing your plan consider how you will measure it’s effectiveness. If it comes down to the bottom line financial goal then make sure your book-keeping is set-up and ready to go too.
Did every person you connected with buy from you? If not what could you do differently to convert prospects to buyers?
What drove sales last year? Are you barking up the right tree or making assumptions?
If social media is a tool that you definitely need then it must be driven by content. You need to know what to say as much as how to say it, on each platform. No one knows your business like you do, so to start a content creation process you need to makes sure you know the answers to certain key questions.
What do you do? Who for? Why should they pick you?
From here we can then evolve the questions to become triggers for pieces of content that become chapters of a story that will lead the hero (your client) on a journey with a conclusion (a sale)
