Menopause Makes it to The Business Hour - Fiona Catchpowle
Select Page

This was a first for Shaid Parvaz, presenter of UnityFM’s Business Hour, talking about Menopause with Fiona Catchpowle, Menstrual Health Evangelist and lead educator for #MenopauseEvolution.

It was an intense but sparkling conversation about how the world of business can make small changes to create an inclusive environment for all transitioning through menopause.

Our viewpoint on Menopause in the workplace is that whilst it is a huge leap forward to have the topic discussed, many organisations are feeling very intrepid about what steps are safe to take. To add clarity Fiona explained that what they really should be considering is how to make the work spaces an environment that encourages positive menstrual health experiences, not just menopause. This way every employee who mesnatrutaes will be able to feel that their point of view is valid and know that support will be offered if requested. Employers do not have to wait until a person is experiencing menopause symptoms before offering reasonable adjustments and other measure.

Fiona and Shaid also talked about the upcoming event at Cannon Hill Part called Menopause the Truth, in association with Aamilha Begum from Menopause Talk CIC. You can book a seat here
